Q: When should I order my bridesmaids dresses?
A: You should order your bridesmaids dresses at least six months in advance to allow time for the dresses to arrive to the store and allow you to find a seamstress to start the alteration process.
Q: Do you offer bridesmaids alterations?

Q: What if my wedding is less than six months away?
A: Depending on the designer, there are rush cut options available and the dress can come in sooner than standard delivery, typically anywhere from 4-8 weeks. Rush cut costs vary per designer and are applied per bridesmaid dress.Â
Q: Are there plus size options for bridesmaids?
A: Most designers offer plus sizes but may not be in stock. Keep in mind most designers charge additional charges for certain sizes. (18+) Ask your consultant about designers who offer plus size at no additional charge.
Q: At what height can a bridesmaids dress become too short?
A: If your bridesmaid is 5'7 or taller and plans on wearing a heel, some dresses can be too short. To order extra length, if the designer offers it, is an additional charge. Costs varies per designer.Â
Q: What is required to order a bridesmaids dress?
A: We require a full payment before we can order your bridesmaids dresses.Â
Q: When does the order get placed for bridesmaids?
A: Once all your bridesmaids in your wedding party pay for their dresses in full, we then place the order. We do this to make sure all the dresses are as close to the same color as possible.
Q: What is a dye-lot?
A: A dye-lot is a record taken during the dyeing of fabric to identify the fabric received its coloration in the same batch at the same time. This process happens during the cutting and dyeing of the fabric, and we as retailers want to make sure if your bridesmaids are all wearing the same color, that they all arrive in the same shade.
Q: Can you guarantee the dye-lots are going to be accurate?
A: We can never guarantee the dye-lots of a fabric, even when you order dresses from the same designer in the same fabric. Same goes if you order from different designers in different fabrics and colors.
Q: What if I have bridesmaids that live out of state?
A: Your bridesmaids that are living out of state can still order their dresses through Alexandra's Boutique and can call in their order over the phone. We recommend that they get themselves professionally measured by a seamstress in their area, so we can provide them with the most accurate size choice. If they cannot get professionally measured, they must provide us with a size and must understand we cannot guarantee that their dress will fit properly.
Q: How do I know if my order has been placed?
A: Once every bridesmaid has paid for their dresses in full, the order is issued.
